Contact us
For a question or problem, email team@pan-ir.art.
Include the lesson or chapter name, what you expected, what happened, your iPhone model, and iOS version. A screenshot can help; leave out any information you do not want to share. Never send an Apple Account password or verification code.
Getting started
Enter a nickname and choose your starting point. Begin with Chapter 1, then follow the lessons in order. Complete a chapter’s lessons and final challenge to unlock the next chapter.
Continue where you left off
Your learning position is saved on your iPhone. Open the app and use the main learning button on the home screen to continue. Completed lessons remain available from All chapters.
Review an explanation
Tap the information button on a question to open a quick review. Close it or choose Back to question to return to the same question. Correcting an answer is part of learning.
What counts as complete?
A lesson is complete after its reading, questions, and any hands-on practice. A chapter is complete after its lessons and final challenge. Your profile counts lessons and chapters separately.
The Graduation Check
After completing all seven chapters, take the eight-scenario Graduation Check. Each submitted answer is final; only Correct or Incorrect is shown, with no hints. All eight answers must be correct to graduate. Results show your accuracy, the skills to revisit, and relevant lessons. Each new attempt uses the next of four different sets covering the same skills. Starting a new check replaces the previous result; the app does not keep a score history. Leaving and returning resumes the same attempt.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No account is required. The course and tile artwork come with the app, so lessons work offline after installation. Downloading or updating the app, visiting this support site, and sending feedback use an internet connection.
Can I move my progress to another device?
The app has no built-in cross-device sync. Learning records are kept in local app storage. Apple device backup and restore are separate services and may depend on your settings. Do not delete the app as a troubleshooting step if you need to keep its local records.
A saving or loading message appeared
Follow the retry option shown in the app. If saving fails, your latest changes may not have reached local storage. If saved progress cannot be opened, the app keeps the existing file rather than silently replacing it. Do not choose to clear records unless you intend to start over. If the problem continues, contact us with the exact message.
Edit your profile or start over
Open Your profile and choose Edit to change your nickname or starting point. This does not reset your progress. To erase local learning records, open Your profile → On this iPhone → Reset learning and confirm. This resets your profile and learning progress.
About the practice card
Mahj Up is an independent learning app using guided exercises and example hands. It is not an official annual playing card. Use the current card and rules agreed on by your table when playing.
TestFlight feedback
If you are testing a beta through TestFlight, you can send feedback from Apple’s TestFlight app. Apple handles beta diagnostics and feedback separately; see our Privacy Policy for an explanation.
